HOME TOURS: Exquisite Spaces with Breathtaking Views | Open House TV (Full Episode)

Ready for more exquisite home tours led by our delightful host Sara Gore? Press play and enjoy!

We kick off this week’s episode with a trip to the Berkshires to explore Dorinda Medley’s Gilded Age Tudor-style estate, which she thoughtfully designed with her friend and interior decorator Marshall Watson. Built in 1902, this Great Barrington home — lovingly known as Bluestone Manor — captures her vision of maintaining the architectural integrity of the home while incorporating “Marilyn Monroe meets Frankenstein” elements throughout to create a house full of curiosity. This includes: custom millwork, a grand entryway with a majestic fireplace, vibrant colors, and sumptuous décor such as a bejeweled peacock in the living room and a library with coffered ceilings, candelabras, birds under glass, a hidden wet bar, and a bright floral Christmas tree. Join the ‘Real Housewives of New York’ star as she takes viewers on a tour of the magnificent grounds!

Next, join architect Paul Williger for a tour of his latest project: a custom European-inspired Malibu villa with breathtaking views for a family that loves to cook and entertain. This provincial-style beauty, known as the Adamson Residence, is located in sunny California, and features a trove of reclaimed antique materials and repurposed wood — all which give the interiors patina and character. From the reclaimed barn beams and 19th century French limestone fireplace in the living room to the spacious kitchen with its antique majolica-tiled backsplash, glazed cabinets and macauba azul marble island that opens right into an inviting dining room that evokes a more relaxed setting with its large arched window framing the unobstructed ocean views of Point Doom and fireplace with reclaimed herringbone fire brick on the inside to the inviting pool deck with its fresh ocean breezes, this lush coastal sanctuary thoughtfully integrates aged natural materials and intricate tilework with functional design.

After that, come with us and we sync up with Les Meyers for a tour around a lovingly restored townhouse in Midtown East. This elegant historic home was once owned by renowned landscape architect Ellen Biddle Shipman and exudes old-world charm with modern upgrades — all while preserving its original grandeur across its 7,226 square feet of space. Located on a picturesque street at 21 Beekman Pl, in New York City, this 6-bedroom abode boasts: five fireplaces; a private elevator; a luxurious entryway with marble floors and a grand curved staircase to set the tone; a refined dining space with chevron flooring, river views, gallery walls, and tons of natural light; a country-style kitchen with ample storage options, cozy breakfast nook, and a six-burner LeCornu range; a spectacular parlor floor that includes a quiet library with antique pine paneling floor-to-ceiling windows, and a peek-a-boo Juliet balcony; a primary bedroom with bay windows, custom closets, and an en suite bathroom; a gracious conservatory with silk panels, incredibly high ceilings, triple-paned windows; multiple seating areas, and leaf-patterned moldings; a sunrise-facing solarium perfect for intimate gatherings that opens into a terrace that offers breathtaking views.

We top off the episode by visiting Charles Michael Davis, a producer and actor who has starred on hit television shows such as ‘Younger,’ ‘The Originals,’ and ‘NCIS,’ on a mini tour of his light-filled Hollywood Hills home. When Davis isn’t dazzling on screen, he is focused on creating an atmosphere of comfort and relaxation at his private residence and producing unique personal photography. (To decompress, Davis likes to use his art room to express all of his creativity, where he painted four stunning pieces of icon Jimmy Hendrix.) From the beautiful art pieces hanging on his wall to the natural elements and neutral tones implemented throughout the space to the soothing music room that currently houses several guitars and a classic piano, the house buzzes with charm and character — a true testament to Davis’s eclectic tastes and warm personality.

HOME TOURS: Luxurious Living in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Malibu | Open House TV (Full Episode)

HOME TOURS: Luxurious Living in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Malibu | Open House TV (Full Episode)

Welcome to another installment of NBC’s Open House! Join us as Sara Gore leads us through several magnificent properties that will leave you in a total state of awe.

We kick off this episode by meeting up with real estate agent Louise Beit for a look around 15 East 63rd Street: a distinguished 8-level Gilded Age townhouse on the Upper East Side. Built in 1901 by architect John H. Duncan and located just off of Fifth Avenue and Central Park, this home boasts 7 bedrooms, 12 bathrooms, 4 half-baths, soaring ceilings, and 18000 square feet of unparalleled craftsmanship and sophisticated details. From a limestone facade adorned with delicate floral garlands and arched French windows to a spectacular entry with a white marble floor, curved staircase, and plenty of space to display your art collection, this rare treasure of a home captures the lavish splendor and exuberance of the era while also providing luxurious upgrades for modern living.

After that: Brooke Burke, founder and creator of Brooke Burke Body and host of the CW magic show ‘Penn & Teller: Fool Us,’ invites viewers into her happy space: a Malibu home that she thoughtfully crafted from the ground up with her former partner David. Full of sunlight, imported European accents (including a Red Vines-esque vase from Italy and some old original fireplaces that she excavated in Italy), and a sense of calm, this home not only captures Brooke’s love of travel and wellness, but also the harmonious blending of family, natural elements, and boho-meets-traditional flavors — all set against a neutral backdrop with pops of color to brighten each space. From the warm kitchen with its modern island, glass & steel touches, French windows, vintage barn beams, and reclaimed wood from an old building that they built into an armoire to a gorgeous backyard with a cabana, eucalyptus & sycamore trees, and al fresco dining setup — this airy abode radiates with a sense of calm and warmth.

Up next: One reimagined Brooklyn brownstone from the 1890s. Eighteen rooms teeming with pure style and creativity. In this next special segment, wejoin Real Simple’s editor-in-chief Lauren Iannotti for a tour of this year’s Real Simple Home. Prepare to be inspired as you see how a talented team of designers – including Barry Bordelon and John Slocum (aka the Brownstone Boys), Jessica Davis, Kate Pearce, Mikel Welch, Hema Persad, Amber Guyton, Jasmine Roth, architect Alexandra Burr, and developer Adam Dahill – came together to revamp a historic dream home located in Crown Heights, all while restoring its original details and preserving its architectural charm.

As for our penultimate segment, interior designer Melanie Morris shows us around one of her recent projects: turning a white box into a cozy apartment in Tribeca full of texture and warmth. Considering that this was her the second time working with this client, trust had already been established — which allowed her the freedom to create a welcoming home with maximum design impact. From the entryway with structural artwork by Charlie Patterson and a stunning console that juxtaposes concrete, resin, and brass to the main space with its ample seating via a stain-resistant serpentine sofa (clad in a luxurious cream-colored boucle fabric) that serves as both a statement piece and dining banquette, round table with leather chairs, and unique light fixture by Apparatus Lighting, Melanie found a stylish and functional solution to give each room in this NYC abode — despite its long, narrow dimensions and wall of windows — a sense of comfort, intimacy, and continuity.

And last but not least: We drop by the vibrate New York City apartment of lifestyle influencer, entrepreneur, and design enthusiast Patrick Janelle. Located in Flatiron District, this stylish loft functions as both his home and office workspace — and embodies an aesthetic that dovetails Parisian elegance with country charm. From the dining room with its antique farmhouse table, midcentury chairs, brass candle scones and high ceilings that are pressed tin to the main living area with its pièce de résistance — a massive mirror that was an architectural salvage — and contemporary lounge sofa, low coffee table, and working wood-burning fireplace enveloped by an exposed brick wall, this dream home is perfect for living, working, and entertaining.

HOME TOURS: Mega Mansions & Bespoke Design | Open House TV (Full Episode)

HOME TOURS: Mega Mansions & Bespoke Design | Open House TV (Full Episode)

Join host Sara Gore for an all-new Open House episode featuring a peek into four unbelievable luxury homes in New York, California, and South Carolina.

We kick off this edition by meeting up with real estate advisor Jim St. Andre for a tour of 48-50 w 69th St in New York City: one of the largest and most expensive homes in New York City. The price? A cool 85,000,000. Set on an idyllic block on the Upper West Side, the story of this massive private residence — which was built in 1892 in a Renaissance Revival style — begins with drama, scale, and meticulous attention to detail that’s reminiscent of the Gilded Age. The result of a years-long renovation of two townhouses, this abode boasts 19,600 square feet of luxury living which includes 5 bedrooms, 8 bathrooms, 3 half baths, and interiors that have been completely redone. From the welcoming great room with its 24 ft high ceilings, two wood-burning fireplaces, and south-facing cathedral windows that fill the space with natural light to the wrap-around mezzanine level (with a lounge area for playing pool, watching movies, or taking business calls) that offers you the perfect vantage to greet your guests — and from the most angelic of dining rooms that floats over the garden with its wondrous skylight and large doors that allow for plenty of al fresco dining opportunities to the unbelievable en suite primary bedroom with a wood-burning fireplace and bucolic terrace — this deluxe UWS mansion is as grand and prominent as they come.

We then link up with B. Michael – interior designer, author, and couturier – invites us into one of his client’s homes in Beechhurst, NY. This project marks B. Michael’s first gut renovation and the result is as stunning as it is welcoming. His client’s one marching order? To enjoy complete creative control over the process. Through deft use of a subtle color palette and his expert knowledge of exquisite textiles and silhouettes, he transformed this apartment into a fashionable space to call home. From the curved chandelier in the entryway that complements the sleek console nearby to the different shades of gray on each wall to a stylish seating area adorned with blue chairs made in Italy, a sculptured rug, and commissioned art print featuring himself (per his client’s request, in homage to him as the designer), this Queens abode is a balanced blend of personal, modern, and functional.

After that, we journey down south to join Whitney Sudler-Smith — executive producer and (sometimes) cast member of Bravo’s Southern Charm — for a tour of his estate in Charleston, South Carolina that is popularly referred to as the Isaac Jenkins Michael House. This one-of-a-kind bespoke mansion — renowned for its impressive Roman Revival facade and Italian villa aesthetic — was built around 1853 by British artisans, served as the Charleston Free Library until the 1960s, is currently listed on the National Historic registry. Right from the entryway — with its high ceilings, grand palais floors, and chinoiserie cabinet made in 18th century England — to the double drawing room that exists as a kind of pièce de résistance with its understated sense of comfort, countryside aesthetic, and apple green walls, this private residence teems with elegant upgrades, curated interior design, and resplendent architectural surprises around every corner.

Next, we journey to 513 Grand Blvd. in Venice, California for a look around Stewart Burns’ — a writer & producer on the iconic Simpsons and Futurama series — one-of-a-kind sculptural home. This vertical, futuristic 4-bedroom private residence, best known as the Tectonic House, features 2,522 square feet of sharp angles and torqued geometric shapes; imaginative and playful touches (including aerial silks in an entry room called the Tower); a spiral plywood structure (dubbed “The Parasite”) that spirals all the way into the upper reaches of the home, serves as an art installation, and offers plenty of shelving and seating options; the use of stark metals alongside natural materials; large living spaces for members of the family to hang out; and glorious views via a generous roof deck.

Last but not least, we travel to Southampton to speak with Interior designer Keith Baltimore on how he turned an empty space into a modern day paradise. The instant you step foot through the doors of this lavish property, you experience the very definition of fine living. This home prioritizes indoor-outdoor living with finishes geared for complete ease and relaxation, making it a worthwhile getaway.

Home Tours: Curated Colors & Pattern-Rich Spaces | Open House TV (Full Episode)

Home Tours: Curated Colors & Pattern-Rich Spaces | Open House TV (Full Episode)

Sara Gore welcomes us back to another full episode of NBC’s Open House, featuring an array of beautiful homes in New York and California that offer distinctive stylish details, lovely DIY inspiration, and genuine surprises at every turn.

Frances Katzen kicks things off with a tour of the exquisite penthouse at 130 Willian Street, PH63A, With its colorful aesthetic that strikes a fine balance between sophistication and comfort, seamless design that promotes an atmosphere of understated luxury, and breathtaking river views from a private bronze-detailed, 700-square-foot loggia, this architectural wonder (designed by Architect Sir David Adjaye) is situated right in the heart of FiDi and boasts plenty of refined fixtures, bespoke custom elements, and state-of-the-art amenities throughout its 2452 square feet.

After that, Bravo star Jasmine Ellis Cooper shows us around her stunning 1-bedroom loft in Hoboken, NJ. Upon moving in with her family, the ‘Summer House: Martha’s Vineyard’ cast member discovered an opportunity to truly make the space her own and thus her self-described “designer girl” era began. Ellis, who conducts numerous DIY projects on a regular basis, found ways to infuse extra flair and personality to otherwise standard pieces. For example, she added cement to a white coffee table to give it new life and set up picture molding on the wall herself to showcase her art collection in style. She says that she enjoys striking a balance between masculine and feminine aesthetics and finding unique ways to dovetail her husband’s Liberian heritage and their shared love of film, history, and jazz. Overall, she has turned a blank canvas penthouse into a fun, artsy abode that features functional, cost-effective hacks that are both chic and baby-proof (on account of her adorable newborn son).

We then zip over to the West Coast to check out a vibrant home in the Pacific Palisades that’s the perfect blend of tailored design and casual California whimsy. See how interior designer Melissa Warner incorporated pops of color and unique patterns in a harmonious way to create a cheerful, witty vibe that ranges from bold to serene. From the foyer that includes a tangerine front door and ceiling, an emerald console camel tones, and a sette with hints of fuchsia to turning a space that the client claimed they never use into a functional living room that is one of the best features of the house with its orchid-hued architectural wallpaper that serves as a focal point and spray-painted wall art that reads “Hello, Lover” for some fun juxtaposition, this welcoming abode is full of delightful surprises.

After, we return to New York City to join agent Ian Slater as he shows us around a historic single-family townhouse in Murray Hill. Located at 130 East 38 Street on a calm tree-lined street, this 4-story residence was built in 1869, awarded preservation and landmark designation in 1997, and most recently bought and gut renovated by designer Adena Conway who re-imagined each floor for modern living while preserving its classic exterior and architectural charm. A blend of old NYC and contemporary design, this luxury home spans 3,000 square feet and boasts oversized windows, an open-tread staircase fashioned from white oak and steel; clean lines; wide-plank white oak floors; ample natural light throughout; and a landscaped roof terrace that’s perfect for lounging and alfresco dining against the backdrop of the Empire State and Chrysler buildings.

We top of this week’s episode with a visit to an artsy SoHo loft cultivated by artist and owner Michael Somoroff. This home challenges the decorative designs of its peers as it exists not only as a living space but also a sculpture itself, serving as an extension of art. With every decadent detail embedded in the architecture, we can experience a smooth synthesis of religion and science — which is the exact tension that becomes the motor of this space’s interior design.

Full Episode: Capturing Personality through Interior Design | Open House TV

Full Episode: Capturing Personality through Interior Design | Open House TV

In this week’s episode of Open House, our glamorous host Sara Gore guides us through five exquisite homes located in New York, California, and New Jersey.

First up: Welcome to 128 Central Park South, 15A. Andrianna Shamaris invites Open House viewers into her lovely New York City apartment, located in a pre-war building on the iconic “Billionaire’s Row.” Much like the renowned furniture designer’s eponymous showroom and studio in SoHo, this 2-bedroom abode showcases her love of travel and curated style and features high-beamed ceilings, a wood-burning fireplace, and postcard-worthy views of Central Park. From the foyer that provides an immediate wow factor upon entry to the antique wooden furniture situated throughout the home to the tightly knitted shell inlay doors separating the great room from the minimalist-yet-functional kitchen, this inviting space — a collaborative renovation between Shamaris and architect Thomas Leeser — is a true treasure trove of rare pieces from around the world and effortlessly fuses an easygoing downtown vibe with classic uptown living.

After that: We join artist and creative director Bethany Brill in Costa Mesa to explore her dreamy family home that seamlessly uses plywood as the canvas for exploring materiality. Built in 1980 with an aesthetic that leans toward warm minimalism, this inviting California abode — inspired by the height and light of New York City lofts — features an abundance of calming colors, original art, and modular furniture that can easily be rearranged when the mood for change strikes.

Next: Step inside a sprawling home in the sky, complete with sweeping panoramic views of New York City. Interior designer Melanie Calder Russo shows us around a 6220 sq ft duplex that was a total dream project, largely in part to her client giving her free reign of the space. All they wanted was something chic yet comfortable and stylish yet inviting — and the rest was up to her. From the hammered bronze-paneled floating wall that greets you upon entering this apartment to the five rings of light in the dining area suspended over a handmade walnut-and-bronze dining table to help amp up the drama and emphasize the 22-ft floor-to-ceiling windows, it’s evident that this modern abode — originally, a combination of two separate units —features plenty of glamour, luxury, and bespoke touches.

We then zip over to the West Coast to 615 N Faring Road: a luxurious $45,000,000 resort-style estate in Los Angeles, California. Located within a private neighborhood in Holmby Hills, California, this 6-bedroom, 12-bath one-of-a-kind residence spans three levels and boasts 17661 square feet of contemporary architectural finishes, dramatic design, and exceptional amenities. Owner and developer Shawn Kohen leads us through three spacious levels that include: a formal living room with 14 ft. ceilings and a 3D stone fireplace; an entertainment space with a cozy movie theater and bar; a kitchen that features a breakfast seating area, a dual-service island, and bronze Venice stone touches; an outdoor oasis with a zero-edge infinity pool; a water-feature atrium that separates the home’s wellness center from its gaming area; and a rooftop deck with 3000 sq ft of relaxation space and gorgeous views.

We finish the episode with a trip to Montclair, NJ, where interior designer Andrew Suvalsky shows us around his “labor of love”: a renovated midcentury family home that maximizes light and flow. Thanks to a complete gut renovation, Suvalsky was able to utilize the space to its greatest potential. From the entry foyer with the Venetian plaster on the ceiling and the wild ceramic tiles that lead all the way to the kitchen, to the versatile living room that features a color scheme of bright blues, golden yellows, and black & white, and is filled with a variety of interesting light options (art lights, floral lamps, and recess lights in the ceilings to create unique lighting for different moods through the day), to the open kitchen and dining space with its walnut cabinetry, white accents, and whimsical-yet-moody wallpaper, this stunning abode strikes the perfect balance between being functional yet stylish.
