Full Episode: Cosmopolitan Luxury with Iconic Views of NYC, Miami, and Los Angeles | Open House TV

What makes a house a home? Join Sara Gore for a tour of a five elegant spaces full of personal, thoughtful, and inviting details.

First up, we journey to Tribeca for a visit with interior designer Bennett Leifer, who was tasked with the challenge of transforming a white three-bedroom tower apartment into a home full of warmth, style, and intimate touches that reference his client’s heritage (such as custom wallpaper with botanical and architectural imagery). Next, we zip over to midtown to meet up with actor and designer Lois Robbins, who collaborated with dynamic design duo Anthony Ingrao and Randy Kemper to elevate her lavish Central Park pied-à-terre into a eclectic, whimsical, Parisian-inspired haven filled with art, light, and views for days. We then hop over to the West Coast to visit with interior designer Kevin Klein to experience the charming, luxurious, and personalized details of his nearly century-old Los Angeles home, located right next to Griffith Park, firsthand. Next, we link up with agent Kate Meier for a tour of a classic duplex penthouse (with a few secrets) located in one of Park Avenue’s most coveted addresses on the Upper East Side. This chateau-in-the-sky features European-inspired interiors, hand-painted murals, a vibrant library with handcrafted bookcases that showcase worldly treasures, and a wraparound terrace complete with a secret garden and some of the best views of the city. Finally: sunny Miami beckons! We head south to join architect Rene Gonzalez on a tour of a beautiful home (elevated on stilts to address sea-level rise) that strikes a harmonious balance between environmental resiliency and luxury living. This modern retreat features a living room with floor-to-ceiling doors, a master bedroom pavilion that uses platforms and materials to create intimacy, interiors that are in harmony with the exterior, and a retractable staircase that makes for a dramatic entrance.
