A Greenwich Village Apartment that Functions as an Imaginative Design Workshop | Open House TV

Join interior designer Christopher Noto for a tour of his beautiful apartment, which functions as both the home decor studio Elan Atelier, which he co-owns, as well as his personal home. Get inspired as Noto walks us around his imaginative-yet-comfortable workshop that features two wood-burning fireplaces, a chandelier fixture inspired by an atom, and the restoration of the original details of the pre-war building (such as the exposed brick walls). Explore every bit of wonder that exudes from within each room, from the kitchen to the living spaces, as well as the new-and-vintage designs he procures and markets.

Join Open House host Sara Gore as she kicks off this episode at a 3-bedroom, over 2500 sq ft West Village apartment — located in the third riverfront building by architect Richard Meir — which features a transparent glass facade, 11-ft ceilings, a dreamy terrace, and breathtaking views of the Hudson River. Next, we find ourselves in Greenwich Village at the apartment of interior designer Christopher Noto, who co-owns the home decor studio Elan Atelier and lives among the beautiful designs he procures and markets (a mix of vintage and new) in this imaginative-yet-comfortable workshop that features two wood-burning fireplaces, a chandelier fixture inspired by an atom, and the restoration of the original details of the pre-war building (such as the exposed brick walls). Soon after, interior designer Jarret Yoshida introduces us to a classic contemporary aesthetic in an Upper West Side townhouse, where he preserved the architectural integrity of the home while revitalizing it with a striking blend of color, art, and unique furnishings (including a black lacquer dining table and mid-century Austrian chandelier that looks like a firework exploding). After that, we head over to the West Coast to visit architect Ron Radziner’s home in the Mandeville Canyon, where we explore a harmonious balance between interior elements and natural surroundings that along with the moody, earthy tones, helps infuse this space with a sense of calm and serenity. Next up, we drop by the chic, minimalist Harlem apartment of designer Dani Arps, that’s adorned with custom furnishings, gorgeous structural pieces, and an enviable view of Central Park. Finally, we end this episode on the Upper East Side as architect Wid Chapman and his wife Shachi take us on a tour of their stunning home that pays homage to their view of Central Park and reinvents New York classic style in a thoughtful, creative way.
