A Vibrant Oasis in Mount Washington, California | Open House TV

Join Tamarra Younis, interior designer and founder of Union of Art, for a tour of her little oasis — a 1940s home that she restored back to life — in Mount Washington, California. From the open-concept plan that includes an outdoor deck, garden, and renovated trailer named JoJo that houses overnight visitors, to the vibrant art pieces featured throughout the space that showcase her fondness for travel and fashion, Younis’s home (affectionately nicknamed the “Jewelry Box” by her friends) is light, airy, and embraces both her cultures (she is half English and half Iraqi) through personable details such as the unique light fixtures in the kitchen, the Syrian wardrobe in the master bedroom, and the embellished cushions that serve as floor seating in the living room.
