A Brentwood Dream Home Full of Character & Whimsical Touches | Open House TV Tour

What better way to embrace indoor/outdoor living than placing real full-grown tall trees in the entryway? That’s just one of the many delightful highlights from interior designer’s Tobe Morrow’s ‘Open House’ tour on NBC. Tobe’s approach to filling this Brentwood home with warmth and sophistication, while simultaneously brightening it, was to mix luxury with comfort and layer materials and textures throughout the space. (For example: wooden furniture, travertine on tabletops, leather trays, and a beautiful bookcase with unlacquered brass vintage poles that will patina over the years and ultimately add more character).

And from the kitchen with its TWO marble islands, white oak cabinetry, and classic black-and-white breakfast nook with its very own swing to a moody parlor that teems with drama and old Hollywood glamour via walnut shelving, well-lit mercury glass mirror, and bar fashioned out of marble and coved wood to the most inviting primary suite withs its soft color palette, velvet fabrics, double layered mantle over the fireplace, and an ensuite bathroom featuring a limestone floor, shower walls comprised of Taj Mahal slabs, and a gorgeous Japanese soaking tub made from oak, this residence captures an elevated California lifestyle to a t.
